Anton Logov

Born 1984 in the city of Razdelnaya, Odessa region. Lives and works in Kiev. In 2004 graduated from the Odessa art school. M.’d.Grekova, in 2010 the National Academy of fine arts and architecture. Since 2008, the artist actively participates in group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, consistently developing the theme of new abstractions. As a participant in the scholarship program for young artists “gene pool” of the art center Paul Gudimova “I Gallery”, participated in group projects in Ukraine and Lithuania. After a number of socially conscious projects returns to the theme of the avant-garde in the personal project “Adaptation” in 2011. The same year he participated in curatorial projects Alexander Solovyov “Independent” and “Space Odyssey 2011” [Arsenal] and the Doctrine project-light of the curator of Olily Milentii [in the parallel program of the Venice Biennale]. In collaboration with Igor Novicemaster Ukrainian abstract painting, has presented the project “Lobotomy>> in art-center ya Gallery. Since 2011 Alexander Kamenets is the patron of the artist. In his house Anton Logov has created two murals.

Work «Geo» was first introduced in the author’s personal project «Geo» within the parallel program of the First Kyiv International Biennale of Contemporary Art ARSENALE 2012.

“White Cross” belongs to a series of works created during the plein air painter in the Polish town of Krynica-Zdroj [Khupisa Zdroj] 2012 and first presented at the exhibition of Ukrainian artists in the building of the Ukrainian Catholic University. This is the first series, which began with the study of the concept of cross and further deepening of the artist in a symbolic brands, resulting in the personal project of “rebranding” the Art Centre Gallery I in 2013. The second time the “White Cross” as a sign of traditional culture, there was a program of visual art gallery I HOHOLFEST Neofolk project in 2012. Together with the works of other forms of cross author cross Logov formed a complex system underlying concepts of popular culture. The work was donated by the artist for the New Family Kamyanets’ 2013.
