Ukrainian lobbyists joined the EPACA jury and started interacting with the European professional community

On April 23, representatives of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association took part in the annual general meeting of the European Public Affairs Consultancies Association, the leading European association in the field of public affairs, in Brussels.

UNLA was represented at the event by Oleksandr Kamenets and Oleksandr Chernykh, who presented the activities of the association and made a report on the prospects for the development of the lobbying market in Ukraine in the context of European integration.

As part of the presentation, the research “The History of Lobbying in Ukraine” was presented, which forms a systematic understanding of the market development and its transformation in accordance with European approaches.

The participants paid special attention to the development of demand for public affairs services in key sectors of the economy, including agriculture, energy, pharmaceuticals, defense, and dual-use goods.

An important stage in the integration into the European professional community was the involvement of the UNBA representatives in the jury of the international EPACA John Houston Essay Contest 2026, which confirms the growing role of Ukrainian experts in shaping the European discourse in the field of public affairs.

The meeting also discussed the prospects for practical cooperation with EPACA members, including joint events, exchange of expertise, and involvement of European experts in the development of the lobbying institute in Ukraine.

UNLA emphasizes that the formation of the lobbying market in Ukraine is based on clear ethical standards, scientific approach and integration with European practices.

Institutional cooperation with EPACA is an important step towards building a transparent, professional and competitive public affairs market in Ukraine.
